Apparently this was a favorite at the Cannes Film Festival this year. I was wondering when the country who brought us Godzilla was going to bring us an Akira version of monsters invading a city. I have not seen the entire film but is it another satire on the aging large nuclear powers? I would not be surprised. Looking forward to it coming to the states.

Renaissance - Trailer
Sci-fi Noir at its best, with an amazing rendering style that looks like animated woodblock prints. It takes ones full attention to concentrate on the plot and the visual rendering to discern what character is talking, where are they, and where did the invisible soldiers go. Worth more than one viewing just to be able to take it all in.
