Here is a film I was VFX super on with Kevin Miles and Raya Blanca. It is funny, gross, engaging and an all around good romp if you enjoy films that are part horror, part roller coaster ride.
Winning 5 Best Film Awards, 5 Best Effects Awards, 1 Writing Award, 1 Scream Queen Award, and 1 Best Screenplay Nomination, BRAIN DEAD is now getting a limited theatrical release in the Midwest and South in March 2009. BRAIN DEAD will initially exhibit on 6 screens in Indianapolis IN, Shelbyville IN, Portsmouth OH, Bardstown KY, Lexington KY, and Elizabethtown KY. BRAIN DEAD is then slated to open on 54 other screens in other mid-west and mid-south markets. If BRAIN DEAD develops enough movement, and if traction is evident, then BRAIN DEAD could be moved out in other theatres in the mid-west and mid-south up to a total of 600 screens.
I did the title sequence and some of the other silly stuff in the film.
Yes it is low budget but it is cool unrated fare for those who like that kind of thing.

How to save ink for draft printing - ecofont
Looking to save ink? Here is a font that uses a fine pattern of dots that saves ink but makes it still readable
How much of a letter can be removed while maintaining readability? After extensive testing with all kinds of shapes, the best results were achieved using small circles. After lots of late hours (and coffee) this resulted in a font that uses up to 20% less ink. Free to download , free to use. www.ecofont.eu

9-9-09 the movie, worked on the logo, web site, VFX for film
Just finished the logo and working on the web site for the film 9-9-09. I am the digital VFX person for the creature feature involving alien worms that kill and control human beings I modeled the creature based on Richard Miranda's practical effects and rendered in mental ray using the HDRI I shot on set. It makes for a wet and juicy worm. Go to the website http://www.9-9-9movie.com./
