I drink it every day...Chinese Puer tea documentary
Being a very fancy lad requires you find your own path. About a decade ago I discovered a tea that was dark complex and had very little tannin. It was dark and rich and the longer I let it steep the more intense ti became without eating my stomach lining. I cannot start my day without it . The older it was the better it was and came sold in silk lined boxes, hard and compact. One of the most unique Chinese Teas Pu ' ur or Pu'er is grown in the mountainous region of SE China near the Laos border.
It sells for 30,000 USD an ounce when you buy the 50 year old tea cakes. It sells loose leaf, in mini balls, decorative hard cakes, round tea cakes that need to be broken up by letter opener. Hard to find but well worth the extra $$ for the better variety. The 3 dollar touchas are fairly easy to find... look for the darker tea rather than the greener variety.
My tea lady in chinatown tells me everytime it is good for the immune system and for health. I think this will be the next big discovery on tea fads. Get in before it gets to popular.
